Should we recruit more advisers to NMPANA? Find accomplished scholars/professors from AAPM who have interest in helping developing countries like Nepal and support new organization and initiatives like ours?

Couple other things! 1. Are we planning to register NMPANA as a non-profit organization in the USA? I think we should go this way. If so, then we need to file application for 501(c)3. 2. Does anybody know active folks in Indian or Chinese Medical Physics Association in USA/North America? We should get insights from them on organizations structure and funding. 3. I think it would be good to contact the International Affairs Committee of AAPM and get suggestions from them. We could probably apply for grants via AAPM. 4. Since we are not national association in Nepal, I am not sure if IOMP could support us financially, but atleast we can be known to them. They could provide help in different ways, and we can work with them to help Nepal. KY Cheung is the current president of IOMP. 5. To get started and to register as a non-profit, there will be some costs. I propose we all put in some money as founding members, and also charge annual membership fee. But the first year is special since its the founding year. The amount can be decided on consensus.
I hope to hear your feedback.
Thanks, Surendra

Let's not bother on that NPO and 501(c)3 for now. Just try to build foundation, interest and vision in the organisation for at least 6 months. If the organisation doesn't get momentum, government comes after you with multiple qns and they will terminate the authenticity. It's the story of my post 'History speaks'. It will be waste of money and time.
